Curriculum Components

Diploma Programme (DP) students are required to select one course from each of the five DP Subjects & Curriculum Components

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) offers a rigorous, balanced curriculum designed to develop students’ intellectual, personal, and social skills. The DP consists of six subject groups and three core components, ensuring both breadth and depth of study.

Six Subject Groups

  1. Studies in Language & Literature (e.g., English, Persian)
  2. Language Acquisition (e.g., Spanish, French, or ab initio options)
  3. Individuals & Societies (e.g., History, Economics, Psychology)
  4. Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science)
  5. Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches or Applications & Interpretation)
  6. The Arts (e.g., Visual Arts, Music) or an elective from another group

Students select three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL), allowing specialization while maintaining a well-rounded education.
